I have to own up to the fact that I voted for her, but I did so without knowing who she was. Trying to figure out the governor’s race and the GOP Senate nomination was the extent of my research for the primary. I voted for her because the Chicago Tribune made no endorsement and because I had decided to vote to nominate women when women were running for the Republican nomination for an office. The idea behind that last was to hopefully counter-act the Democrats’ “War on Women” meme.

Hoist by my own petard, sorry. I won’t vote for her in the fall, to be sure.

For the record, your earlier optimism about this loon not getting the GOP nomination appears to have been unfounded.
