There are plenty of “good Christians” like the woman in the photo on the left. Kind, charitable, perhaps giving of time and money, and think that killing enemies is the answer because their holy book tells them so.

And there are plenty like William, who do their utmost to embody the spirit of Christ as they understand him. To be the good in the world and to understand it using the tools they have.
There are atheists about who I’d never break bread with because they can’t recognise the shared humanity in a person of faith.
Try not to broad brush.
