Good idea. A friend at work had a raccoon in the yard that tried to go after her dog. She ended up fighting the raccoon. She had to get a bunch of shots with I think the CDC tracking her to make sure she got them all.

That happened to a former client of mine. He saw a coon in his big old trash bin. Thought the little critter needed some help getting out as he couldn’t figure out how he got in. So, he took a tree limb and when he put it in, the little criminal ran up the limb, bit him and took off. It was so fast the guy didn’t know what happened.

Rabies shots were in order. Painful rabies shots. They are automatic for racoon bites, no stopping them if the docs find out what happened.
