Remember, there’s a lot that is probably going on behind the scenes that we may never know until (1) someone spills the beans to the media or (2) well after a result from such actions are taken place. President Obama and his team probably have had talks with Turkey, but have kept much of the discussion matter quiet for politically sensitive reasons. Hell, a lot of diplomatic discussions are kept quiet for politically sensitive reasons and we don’t know about them. That’s why it seems like nothing is being done to the outsiders, while, for all we know, Obama’s on his 5th set of stitches because of all of the talking he’s been doing, either with his team or foreign diplomats.

Not everything can be solved quite simply. If we’re too aggressive in regards to Turkey, the Islamists would use that to fan the flames among the population and that would come to some big headaches to not only the US, but the entire region.
