I’m serious. I know a lot of liberals, and frankly, many of them hate Obama almost as much as the GOP. They feel unrepresented, and betrayed. Many of them will just stay home in 2012, and have said as much.

2012 is far from a slam dunk for Obama. He just moved too far to the right from the platform he ran on in 2008, and it’s going to mean low turnout on the left.

His “base” doesn’t really like him anymore. Sure, lots of center-right to moderate voters like him, but what about the actual left? Look on liberal blogs some time. It isn’t exactly a lovefest for Obama.
