And I got what I really wanted. Yes, the socon riders got dropped, but they were not vital to me. And they were dropped in exchange for spending reductions, which is a tiny step towards fixing the problem Republicans were sent to DC to fix.

Fixing the problems is going to take more than simply cutting money from programs that the Repubs don’t agree with. I know you hate to hear it, but your ox is going to have to be gored, the defense budget is going to have to be cut, if you want to see serious drops in the deficit.
