#58 wasn’t a specific call for Pat to be regulated out of the media.

What I would love is for news nets to suffer as great consequences for utterances like “kill them and convert them”, “president is racsist” as there are for nip-slips or accidental cursing that the OB truck doesn’t catch.

Either have consistency in regualtion or have no regulation at all.

My words were “the regulation is a farce”.

The phrase Standards and Practices is without meaning at this point.

If that’s true, it’s due in part to the evolution of the technologies themselves. In #182 I was responding to “at present there is no regulation.” There is regulation, its just two-tiered regulation based on the media used for content delivery, i.e. cable vs broadcast.

Believe me, every Fox detractor and critic has been frustrated in the same way since about 1998. Viewer boycotts and writing the FCC don’t have the same effect in this environment.
