Heh I usually post my grandfather’s photo on memorial day weekend but I had to talk about my distant cousin who died on Iwo Jima today. You’ve all seen the flagraising photo. One of those guys was my cousin. His family attended the same church as my grandmother and he was born in the same village as Grandma’s father and his grandfather and my grandmother’s paternal grandmother were siblings I heard.

I usually post my grandfather’s photo on Memorial Day, even though he made it home.
