Which is also why I generally do not post anything political or comment on such posts. As a rule, I just delete them.

FB is about keeping in touch with friends & family. I joined it after a banjo student posted one of our gigs on FB and filled up the place with her friends.

It is a great way to advertise a gig or organize a session.

(btw: why “ise” in “advertise” and “ize” in “organize”? I had a German client ask me that once…)

It stopped being that when Twiter stopped being about what restaurant you were at. Now, 40% of it’s users get their news from the site. You can either let them get their news unfiltered from idiots, or you can work to counter that. But, if you don’t, then those around you will continue to get it from less informed sources.
