There’s a great statue of Teddy astride a magnificent stallion in front of the American Museum of Natural History in NYC, with aboriginal peoples at his feet.

If you’re ever in the area, also see his summer home in Oyster Bay, Long Island. It’s festooned with animal heads and skins from his hunting expeditions and military trophies, as well as the suit of Samurai armor presented to him by the Japanese government for negotiating the end of the Russo-Japanese War. He also won the Nobel Peace Prize for that, B/T/W.

Both he and his son won the Medal of Honor, Teddy for the Spanish-American War, and his son for WWII.

Oh, and don’t you mean the “Hispanic-American War?”*

HAHAHAHAH!

*(really seen on a sign marking the first bank in Puerto Rico on Ashford Ave in San Juan!)
