In 1980 I voted for Anderson (yes, I admit it), in part because I could not see myself voting for RWR or Carter rather than anything positive on the part of Anderson.

The Vietnam war era left despised RWR, with a passion equal to how the today’s Tea Partiers hate President Obama. The difference being the college educated left of that day made less spelling errors on their signs.

And less calls for the violent overthrow of the nation. I think that is a big point too no?
