One aggravating thing, for an archer like myself, was that while the Bolton forces had longbows, the Wildlings had what appeared to be composite recurve bows. My affection for the English Long Bow aside, composite recurve bows can throw an arrow a lot farther. The Wildlings should have been able to hit the Boltons from outside the Bolton’s range.

And if Rickon hadn’t been stupid, he’d have zigged randomly every couple seconds. But he was always arrowfodder.
