The poll reflects the messaging and focus of mainstream media. The more they focus on inflation and gas prices, the more they are on peoples minds and the more likely those people are to identify them as major concerns in a survey like this.

That is crap, the poll reflects that people are more concerned with putting food on the table, gas in their car and paying the rent today than they are about something that may or will almost certainly happen years down the line. The media could not say word one about inflation and it woudn’t matter. Everyone knows it is happening, they just need to buy groceries to know it.
