You can sue a stockbroker for misleading you about a sure thing. Why can’t you sue a preacher for misleading you about a different sure thing?

Is stupidity only a defense in one case but not the other?

One is a certified financial adviser. One interprets the will of the Gods.

I think it has to do with the certification.
