Looked at the WaPo homepage - something I very rarely have done before - and it the layout comes across like one of those early websites that was littered with misc. advertisements all in text.

‘Cept those old things had the ugly bright-color text on black background look, while WaPo currently is black-ish text on white-ish background.

Trying to look like a physical newspaper is not really becoming to a website, I think. A computer display is not a piece of paper, the looks ought not be the same.
