Normally that would be a sound strategy, but remember— the GOP wingnut base hates Mitt Romney. He’s Obama Lite and a Mormon heathen as far as they’re concerned. Attacking pundits and bloggers won’t go well for Mitt.

And it’s generally not sound strategy. Would it make sense for Obama to reject the endorsements of Arianna Huffington or the NYT? Why piss off your base if there’s no attendant advantage to be gained elsewhere?
