Where were the parents and chaperones this entire time? They trot the kid out as a “marytr” and then claim his actions should entitle him to $250 million.

There were no adults present to show how to behave? Or, they didn’t see anything wrong with their actions because they too are bigots and entitled white folks who don’t see minorities as having equal rights to them.

This is what institutional racism and bigotry looks like.

The adults are absolutely a big problem in this. It was apparently the chaperones who encouraged the chants(they use them at sporting events) before the “confrontation” at the Lincoln Memorial- I think that behavior is patently offensive for the sacred space they were in.

Also, no matter how much the Black Israelite’s provoked them, or how much of a “threat” the students felt; at some point their behavior became inappropriate at best. It is the chaperones responsibility to prevent that from happening.
