re: #189 SpaceJesus
i’m sitting here doing practice essays all day long for the az bar exam on tuesday (on wills and trusts right now). i hate the law atm.
did you know that if you kill your parents but aren’t convicted, you still can’t collect from them under a will or intestacy? the probate court can find you “guilty” of murdering them with only a preponderance of the evidence instead of guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. you won’t do time, you just wont inherit anything.
My friend who was a year behind you (I think) is studying for the NM bar, and learning about her caffeine tolerance and best ways to nap on thick books and thin laptops. Then I have another friend a year behind her.
People who kill their parents shouldn’t inherit. Nothing worse than whiny, self-inflicted orphans.
