Every dental plan our family has had in the last decade at least has been crap. 1000 dollar a year limit, after that you’re on your own. I’ve had lots of work done since ‘08, but honestly, the insurance has paid hardly any of it. Dental insurance is a joke, it’s more like a coupon for some money off. Fillings are anywhere from 250 to 450 dollars depending on the tooth’s location(seriously, WTF). I need perio-maintainence type cleanings 4 times a year, insurance covers half of ONE of those which are 140 a pop.

Why in the hell dental isn’t part of medical is beyond me. It’s insane that it’s a separate thing. If your teeth and gums are a mess, your health can’t be good either. Trust me, I know that from experience.
