This was a proposal for national security claiming to “extreme vet” those coming to the US. The EO wasn’t run past any of the adults in the room - not DOJ. Not DoD. Not NSA. Not CIA. Not anyone outside Bannon and the cabal of cronies Trump assembled.

The people who have the most intimate knowledge of existing policy were excluded. The people who want to push an Islamophobia plan the sole intent of which was to impose a Muslim ban were heard from.

They admit as much. It is a Muslim ban that is on its face unconstitutional. Anyone who defends it is lying.
