I miss the Search Engine Wars…altavista, webcrawler, yahoo, google were all on equal footing for a while…and metacrawler (which still exists = metacrawler.com ) would search them all. It was kind of handy when I was still in academia and the internet was a place one went to do research and find accurate information.
