Seriously. SEC Defensive Player of the Year. Led the SEC in tackles and sacks. Finalist for the Lombardi Award. And now he’s somehow a less attractive draft candidate because he’s gay? Pfft. Someone is going to get a hell of a deal with him.

And honestly? I admire the kid for coming out before he gets drafted. Not only does it make clear which teams are stupid about these things and which ones aren’t, but it allows him a real life later on. Could you imagine the shitstorm if he got drafted first then came out, or worse, if he stayed in the closet and then got outed? Better to be upfront about it now.
