My own cousin, pretty left wing at least domestically is one of the most hateful people towards Muslims that I know left or right. I’ve given up any hope of engaging him because it’s futile as hell.

Out of curiosity, is this anti-religion taken to unreasonable extremes (like some of the anti-muslim trolls that get the boot here), or something else?
