How awful. And I know seven other families are going through this same sorrow right now.

I haven’t (thankfully) had to deal with someone I know being murdered, but the phone call to let you know of a sudden, unexpected death is one of the shittiest, most horrible feelings I know.

A combination of having the wind knocked out of you and a desperate grasping that this isn’t reality.
