As someone who tried to take his own life once I say this to those in the Armed Forces and out of it considering suicide: It gets better.

What drives a person to suicide is despair. In my case, and I think, in most the despair comes from believing that everything you’ve been told is a lie and feeling helpless because of that.

I can see why people in the Armed Forces would be considering it. They’ve been working hard and sacrificing much for a goal assigned to them by fools. Now that it’s pretty much come to grief it’s not surprising they should feel adrift.

Taking your own life is a final act of getting power back from those who have taken from you.
