Speaking of which, I keep wondering if del Toro’s ever going to get around to making that movie adaptation of At the Mountains of Madness he was talking about years ago.

That’s one of those things I’m really mixed about.

On one hand, that’s a story that’s really easy to screw up. It would take some doing to get that feeling of ancient horror across on a movie screen.

On the other, del Toro is the man to do it.

It might not make much difference. Maybe Mountains is too genre specific. It’s my understanding that Pacific Rim took a bath, and that was a damned good movie.
