No we need to split California into two or three Democratic majority states so Californians aren’t so pathetically underrepresented in the US Senate. And give D.C. and Puerto Rico statehood.

This is neither a realistic nor desirable option. No Russian Scheme“plan” to split CA has been put forth that ever results in a Democratic majority. No Democrats want this, it’s always the GRUGOP throwing this crap out as a way to super-gerrymander the Senate.

A much more realistic, but still not going to happen plan is combining a few of these GOP majority almost completely empty states that have a lower population than the city I live in.

If I had my way, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska would be combined into one state. It would still be in the lower half of the US in population. No one in any of those states would want it either.
