The City of Austin just finished blowing up lots of shit in the skies over Town Lake. It was really loud. Dogs went batshit. Cats were like, “whatever”.

A lovely New Year to you all, and days of auld lang syne.

I was just thinking that when I grew up in Pittsburgh in the 1960s and 1970s, I don’t remember any fireworks for New Years. Probably because of the crappy cold and wet weather. And us Pittsburghers being really boring folks.
