The latest polls almost all have Biden in the lead, and most of America hasn’t seen Trump babble incoherently lately, but they will get their chance during the upcoming debate, if Trump doesn’t back out. I think Democrats can gear down from panic mode; the President has got this.

Keep the panic, and throw down the hammer - beat the GOP in to submission at every level, and make sure we not only hold the Senate and WH, but retake the House. Make it happen, and make sure that people understand that Congress is ineffective because the GOP have deemed it so.
