I have thought it would be helpful to have a screening outside of the airport perimeter like the Israelis. But, again, scale stops it.

You’d have to limit the number of people that came to the airport to see someone off.

Non passengers aren’t allowed beyond a certain point in airports here now, so you would only be adding one layer (at the entrance) and again, that can be done observationally!
