The only thing I would change in that photo is no stringer.

Put them on ice right outta the water in an old cooler. Makes all the difference in freshness and ultimately taste.

I learned freshwater fish start to not be fresh soon after not moving about in the water. Real bad on a hot summer day and they are near the surface.

People often don’t like fish that taste “fishy” to them. That is eliminated by icing them right off. Keep ‘em on ice until scaled and filleted and they stay nice and sweet.

Outside of that, good looking catch and dinner there.
