Just remember this, all of you… there is no difference - none - between the crazies on the right or the left. The personalities are the same, the knee-jerk conspiracy theorizing is the same, the inability to handle any challenge to their world view is the same, and if you scratch the surface a little, you’re almost guaranteed to find Jew/Israel hatred. Whether they end up on the right or the left is usually simply a matter of who got to them first. Whether you like it or not, whether you identify left or right, you have your own crazy contingent, and the quickest way to lose all credibility with a lot of moderates is to deny it. Deal with it, don’t excuse it, don’t “yeah, but.”

It is mistaken to view worldviews as “right” and “left”, as though they are points on a line. Rather, the continuum of political viewpoints are more aptly described as being located along a circle, with the extremists of the “right” and the extremists of the “left” being located directly adjacent to one another, and a true moderate (not true as in correct but true as in absolute, like “true north”) being on the point of the circle directly opposite the extremes of “right” and “left”.
