Recycling electronic equipment is better than throwing it away, but much of the “recycling” industry for electronics is a little dubious. I prefer the second R, reuse.

I regularly fix up older computers, my own or donated, and then donate them to poor families. It isn’t perfect, the computers are slow. But coupled with some free dialup it is way better than nothing at all.

This is one of those special electronics collection efforts. Presumably they will dispose of/recycle the stuff responsibly. The printers were already reconditioned and reused. The computer I used for eleven years. That’s enough, isn’t it?
