Obdi, that’s not a very good argument. OWS should get its due credit. They went out, did it and suffered for it. Not perfectly but effectively.

Just because they were out there, doesn’t mean they deserve the credit, though. It’s really, really hard to prove a link like that. Why was it OWS, and not the effect of the protests in Wisconsin, or the result of the GOP becoming more and more and more obvious at only wanting to preserve tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy.

A lot of people gave ‘credit’ to Hearst and other publishers for kick-starting the Spanish American war, but modern historiography disagrees. What really ‘starts’ something is really difficult to determine.
