en.wikipedia.org McVeigh was a registered Republican when he lived in Buffalo, New York, in the 1980s, and had a membership in the National Rifle Association while in the military, but voted for Libertarian Party candidate, Harry Browne, in the 1996 presidential elections.

Remind us again how someone other than the right votes Republican and Libertarian and is part of the NRA.

I don’t disagree that some rightists (perhaps only a few, I would argue probably a larger part than most rightists would like to admit) want to do violence to the P/VPOTUS (either at a purely masturbatory/aspirational level or on an operational one) but party affiliation proves nothing and means nothing. It’s dirty pool to pretend otherwise.
