The religious convert’s zeal is like the political one’s. I was reading the article that the SPLC’s magazine did on David Horowitz today. Knew about his start as an actual bonafide commie but not to the rapid extent he became right wing and did so with much zealousness.

Yep, and I’ve met plenty of Salafi types who were ex gang members, drugged out musicians, etc. Extremists will go from one extreme to another, that’s how they’re wired. Opportunists & grifters on the other hand…
