You definitely have to go into Costco with a game plan. Know that the house brand Kirkland is as good as most name brands across most products.

Among the big deals - EVOO. Coffee. Detergents. Paper goods.

Good deals on brands? Tires.

Fresh goods? That is hit and miss - depends on the quantities you need and whether local chains are running sales. Sometimes we have a local ShopRite that does Can Can sales which trump Costco pricing. Same on fresh goods.

The roasted chickens are a loss leader, as are the hotdog combos at their counter. Clothing is also hit and miss - some can be better priced than comparable stores, but sometimes they get models/designs slightly different than sold in retail.
