I think that speaks at why I feel Bernie’s free college for all isn’t the solution. The solution is accommodations. One side effect of Asperger’s is shitty handwriting. I have terrible handwriting. No one can consistently read it. I managed to get an accommodation that allowed me to type my tests.

And, one usually has to have parents who are willing to go to the mat to get the accommodations in the first place for their kids. I think it’s starting to get easier to get them, but it was a real struggle when I was teaching 15 years ago.
