True. All I’m saying is that there is a difference between the fringe environmentalists, who are really, really, really truly fringe, and the violent anti-abortion activists, who have people like Bill O’Reilly pushing violent action against abortion doctors.

yeah, well, be glad. down here in the Netherlands there was plenty sympathy for death threats to mink breeders (for the fur, obviously) from the left wing some time ago. and not just extremists, either; most environmentalists of some sort pretty much thought they had it coming.
things turned around a little bit when some nut-cases dug up the deceased mother of a mink breeder they had been extensively targeting but even then the outrage was nowhere to be found, really.

point is, nuts exist on both sides. just as someone else up-thread posted rather cynically (can’t find who atm): either the leftist ones are a bit less violently inclined, or when they are (we’ve actually had a few down here) they tend to be completely and blindingly incompetent (even more so than the right-wingers).

however, the way in which certain people here are denouncing claims that this is a moonbat is a bit of a no true Scotsman argument to me; and especially for those who like to point out right wing extremism it’s a bit hypocritical - it’s the same argument you like to denounce as little more than a logical fallacy when “the other guy” does it.
if you dislike the argument so much, don’t lower yourself to its level, people.
