What this does do is remind various demagogues, and the rest of us, that violence, gunplay, and assassination happen in real life. It is a warning to them to put the brakes on their violent imagery and rhetoric right now, before it does become a mass movement.

Sadly, it took the deaths of a federal judge and a child, and a member of Congress getting shot in the head for people to get any reminder of that at all.
