When I was in HS debate we referred to it as Useless News and World Distortion and considered it to be near worthless as a source.

Newsbleat & noTime (as in no time for fact checking) were ok, but if you had to use a magazine, Economist was far preferred. This was the early ‘80’s.

We called it “U.S. Views and World Distort” 40 years ago.
