My mother was a child during WW2. Apart from her lifelong desire to buy solely American cars because she didnāt want to drive anything that was Japanese or German, I donāt remember some big jihad against any kind of food on December 7th.

My dad, too, bought American. We had a Zenith TV of ok quality and owned vehicles from Detroit. But by the ā80s you couldnāt get an American-made TV for the most part, and my fiscally conservative father wasnāt going to support the crap that Detroit was turning out.
