A lot of them may carry around those pocket Constitutions, but I doubt they’ve read them.

I usually get silence and the occasional sputter when I point out that the Constitution ONLY prevents the actual government from silencing or punishing you for your speech. It doesn’t mean you can say what you want (though you can say it) UNCHALLENGED. You don’t get to be an asshole and everyone else has to just take it.

God these people need a Civics 101 class SO badly.

Yep, listening to them defend the free speech rights of Texas A&M students who used the n word at visiting African-American high school students sickened me.
