This is the problem with binary thinking. You need everything to be EITHER one thing OR another.

You can’t accept the concept that a fertilized ovum isn’t yet a human being, but rather BECOMES one over the course of 9 months, with no point at which you can say, “Before this point it was NOT a human being. After this point, it WAS a human being’.

So you’re stuck with the ‘moment’ of fertilization - which is itself not an event, but rather a process.

It also leaves you unable to compromise, since every position must be either GOOD, or EVIL, and why would you compromise with evil?

The same mindset that insists a fertilized ovum should have all the same rights as postnatal human also cannot accept any deal with Iran that leaves Iran with ANYTHING, because Iran is EVIL!, and why would you compromise with evil?
