The media loves to point out a surge. They did it with Carly (which turned out to be a dead cat bounce, not a surge). They are doing it with Rubio (despite no evidence he actually has seen support increase in polls).

And they’ll keep doing it with other candidates in turn, even though there’s no measurable movement one way or the other.
