I’d say it’s completely meaningless.

“Meaning” is a tough concept… What the poll does show is that from the slightly over 1010 Adult Americans surveyed, the two most popular/well known Republicans are creationists, and rather religious ones at that.

This gets at the identity issue of the GOP - that of backwards anti-scientific bumpkins. Yes, Romney is an East-coast elite type, but he demonstrated quite well last year his need to go to Texas and do obeisance to the so-con crowd.
