OK, I guess I can see the point of the sensors, but I don’t see how allowing them to run through the light will help. Wouldn’t it be better to propose adjusting the sensor load? Or adopt camera sensors like we have here in Texas? I see a lot more accidents because motorcycles taking off when they should have waited, and a lot of cyclists going “but my cycle was too light.”

I used to work swing and would do a lot of my shopping late at night. There was this one intersection I went through a couple of times until I learned better where they had it set never to turn green after…midnight, maybe? I’d look around as carefully as I could to make sure it wasn’t a trap with cops lurking around, but I would eventually get out of the car and push the walk button. First time the green light came and went so quick I had to do it again. Huge pain in the ass. I think there really should be a time limit on red lights—if they don’t turn green in five minutes, you can treat them as a stop sign—motorcycle or no.
