Bingo we are still dealing with the failures of the Carter administration in Africa,South America and the Middle East.

Still. Reagan did a lot to alleviate Carters impact in Central America, but couldn’t repair the damage done in Africa at all. Carters impact post presidency has been worse in the Middle East than it was during his administration.

And a lot of people aren’t aware Carter got us involved militarily in Central America before Reagan did. My first set of orders sending me Down South were dated late 78.
