Just got done arguing with a bunch of morons about opening up tourism and trade with Cuba, which would mean thousands of jobs for Florida. Think about it; cruise ships, car ferries, railroad traffic to the port of Miami, tourists flying in from the rest of America and all of Europe (instead of going to Mexico), Freighters using our ports, the list goes on…

The only argument they can give me is that we “would be supporting a communist government.” For 55 years now they have been saying that, has the government fallen? No. Because our embargo hurts the people much more than it hurts the government, it tells the ordinary citizens that they are our enemy.

Besides which if you so strongly believe in “not supporting a communist government” then you need to be boycotting China too to be consistent with your beliefs don’t you?

Bahh…Florida needs the damn jobs, open up Cuba!
