It’s not about class envy. I expect there to be rich people, and I don’t mind. The problem is that with all the economic growth going to the 1%, the middle class is becoming extinct, as this link shows.

I’d have to say that most people’s problems with the 1% is not that they’re the 1%, but that many of those in the 1% that are in a position of political power are seemingly either tone-deaf or don’t give a shit about the very real issues that affect the 99%.

It’s the whole “fuck you, I’ve got mine” attitude that reeks and sets people off.
